Children’s Scholarship Fund of New York, our national partner, was founded by Ted Forstmann and John Walton in 1998 to give children from low-income families the opportunity of a private education. Through its local partners, including CSF Omaha, nearly 145,000 scholarships have been provided to children across the nation.
To learn more about the founding ideas behind CSF, please read "Forstmann’s Not So Little Idea”.
CSF Omaha was established in 1999, when a group of 13 local donors provided $1 million to match a challenge grant from Children's Scholarship Fund. We are exceedingly grateful for the generosity and commitment of these founding donors, whose vision has enabled thousands of children to pursue their future.
